CLEVELAND - Recently, Emory Sports Marketing Analytics conducted a study about which NFL teams have the best fans.
Of course, best is a relative term, so Emory had to determine the most statistically accurate way to determine who was Number 1.
They looked at things like attendance, prices or revenues. Sometimes, the real fans are often revealed when they don't follow a winning team.
Emory used fifteen years of data on NFL team performance, ticket prices, market populations, median incomes, won-loss records and multiple other factors.
They used statistics of box-office revenue and looked at which teams over and under-performed each year.
The Cleveland Browns rank very low on this list, at spot 31. The only team with worse fans than the Browns? The Miami Dolphins.
