CLEVELAND-- Cleveland police have arrested the uncle of two children in connection with an investigation into a shooting that left them in critical condition.

It happened around 8 a.m. Saturday on Willowdale Avenue. Police would not say what the uncle could be charged with, but tell Fox 8 that he is 30 years old.

The brother and sister, a 2-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl, were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. Both were shot in the torso.

The bullets that hit the children were shot off inside the home. At the time of the shootings, there were 4 adults and 5 children in the house, including the parents of the children. No one else was injured.

One other adult male was arrested on unrelated charges.
