7-year-old boy injured in drive-by shooting in Cleveland

CLEVELAND-- Police say a seven-year-old boy was injured during a drive-by shooting just before 9 p.m. Friday on East 92nd. The child was shot in the hand.

The boy, who was in front of his home, was a half-block away from where the shots were fired. A house in the area was also struck by a bullet.

Several shell casings were found in the street.   Police say there were many children playing in the area when the shooting happened.

EMS tells FOX 8 that the little boy was taken to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made.
