Police asking for info to ID man who stripped, walked toward lake at Lakewood Park

LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Police are investigating after reports of a man stripping and then walking into the water at Lakewood Park.

According to reports, Lakewood police were called at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday for reports that a male was causing a disturbance inside the construction zone at the park.

The man subsequently took his clothes off and walked toward the lakefront, reports state. The area is currently closed off to the public due to construction.

Lakewood police, Lakewood fire and the Rocky River Police Department’s Marine Unit searched the area and shoreline for the male. They were not able to locate him.

The man is described as black,  between 38 and 40 years of age and around 200 to 220 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing khaki shorts, white socks, brown aviator style sunglasses and blue boxer briefs.

The clothes were recovered at the scene.
