AVON, Ohio - It's a dream come true for Naomi Williams, of Olmsted Township, the winner of the 2015 St. Jude Dream Home.

The drawing for the home in Avon's Red Tail Golf Community was held on Fox 8 News in the Morning Thursday.

Williams, a nurse, said she was at work at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center when her husband called with the news that her name was the one drawn from a pool of 18,000.

"I go, 'nah, he's joking me, he's just pulling my leg,'" she said, and then she called Fox 8 to confirm she won. "I cried. I cried I was so happy. I'm shaking inside, I'm all bubbly."

Williams said she wanted to donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and had a gut feeling she would win the home.

"I can't even believe something this nice has happened to me, working so hard pretty much all my life," Williams said. "It's just pretty much unbelievable. It is a dream."

Williams and her husband, Leonard, said they are planning to move into the Dream Home and will sell the Olmsted Township home where they've lived for nearly 20 years. They toured the home before the drawing, noting space for their kids and grandkids to visit. Williams said she is looking forward to using the patio fireplace and likes the first floor bedroom.

"For my mom, she won't have to climb those stairs, and she'll be all on one floor," she said, noting that her elderly parents may now be able to move in.

"Thank you to St. Jude," she said. "And, thank you to Fox 8."

Fox 8 viewers raised $1.8 million for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Other prizes awarded Thursday included a $10,000 hot tub from Lighthouse Pools and Spas, a $10,000 La-Z-Boy shopping spree, and a new car from Nick Abraham Auto Mall.
