LEWISBURG, Pa.—A Pennsylvania man will serve 18 months to 20 years in prison for his role in a rock throwing from an Interstate 80 overpass that caused severe head injuries to an Ohio teacher last year.
Union County Judge Michael Sholley sentenced 19-year-old Brett Lahr on Tuesday and took guilty pleas from Lahr’s brother Dylan and a third defendant, Keefer McGee.
The lawyer for the fourth defendant, Tyler Porter, told the judge he’s considering a plea deal.
Police say the four young men, all in their late teens, were out to cause mayhem last July when they stopped at the overpass in central Pennsylvania.
The victim, Sharon Budd of Uniontown, Ohio, was in court for the proceedings. She’s scheduled for a seventh surgery later this week.
Budd was a teacher at Edison Middle School in the Perry Local School District in Massillion.
