Suspect arrested in weekend robbery at Brooklyn bank

BROOKLYN, Ohio- Officers arrested a suspect after a bank in Brooklyn was robbed over the weekend.

The robbery happened at the Fifth Third Bank on Tiedeman Road on Saturday. Brooklyn police said the suspect ordered customers, including a young child, to face the wall before he got away with $1,700.

Thanks to an anonymous tip, Brooklyn police arrested 28-year-old Matthew Dixon in the Memphis Picnic Area of the Cleveland Metroparks on Monday. Officers also arrested Dixon’s girlfriend on an unrelated warrant.

According to the department, police found evidence in a wooded area near the bank and at Dixon’s home.

He was arraigned Tuesday morning in Parma Municipal Court.
