LOS ANGELES, CA – Nickelback will not be rocking out at Blossom this summer, because the band’s lead singer needs voice box surgery.

Chad Kroeger has been diagnosed with an operable cyst on his voice box. He is scheduled for surgery in 3 weeks and then must rest his voice. Because of this, the rest of the band’s North American tour has been cancelled. That includes the stop they were supposed to make at Blossom Music Center on August 4th.

“I am sorry I have to interrupt the party this summer and I am definitely not thrilled with the prospect of being silent for many weeks to come when I could be out there playing for our fans” shared  Kroeger. “I am relying on my doctor and his team to help get my voice back in good form as quickly as possible.”

The tour will resume its European portion in Finland at the end of September, and Nickelback expects to return to North America next year.

If you had tickets to see the show, refunds will be available at the point of purchase.
