Akron man wanted for fatally stabbing mother of his child

AKRON, Ohio- Police in Akron are searching for the man they say stabbed a woman to death Tuesday morning.

Akron police said Michael L. Huguley, 35, stabbed the mother of his baby several times just before 11 a.m. in the 1400 block of Alphada Avenue. The 31-year-old victim was taken to Akron City Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Huguley fled the scene before police and paramedics arrived. He is considered dangerous and is possibly armed with a knife. He is driving a black, 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer with damage to the rear passenger side of the tailgate.

The victim’s name has not been released.
