Deaths of Sagamore Hills couple being investigated as murder-suicide

SAGAMORE HILLS, Ohio –Sagamore Hills police confirm the deaths of a couple found in their home Sunday are being investigated as a murder-suicide.

Jane Corrigan, 46, and her husband, Thomas Corrigan, 55, were found dead inside their home Sunday night at around 8:30 p.m.

A phone call from a concerned neighbor led to the discovery at the 500 block of Orchard Grove, according to the Sagamore Hills Police Department.

The couple had not been seen for several days. Autopsies are being conducted to determine the cause of death.

Jane Corrigan was a secretary of the major crimes and fraud unit for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio. The office released the following statement:

“Jane Corrigan was both an exemplary public servant and a great friend and colleague. She helped bring justice to so many, and her infectious smile –  which she brought to a workplace that is sometimes quite serious — brightened all of our lives. We will miss her deeply.”
