Two injured when car hits pedestrian in Parma

PARMA, Ohio- Two people were taken to area hospitals after a car hit a pedestrian in Parma Friday evening.

Police said the driver was going north on State Road when the car went onto the sidewalk, striking a pedestrian and a store sign.

The victim was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, while the driver was transported to Parma Hospital.
