TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — A new mother was at a restaurant when she started breastfeeding her four-month-old son.

What Connor Kendall didn’t know was that another customer — a man — took a photo of her and shared it online.

MyFoxPhilly reports that the man, who was at the restaurant with his 10-month-old daughter, said in his post that he understands feeding in public, but “can you at least cover up your breast?”

The woman saw the photo and sent the man a direct message. She said she didn’t use a cover because her son fights them and screams and won’t eat under it.

She says he did apologize, but it wasn’t “sincere.”

Connor also shared her story on Facebook, saying she hoped other nursing mothers won’t be shamed in public.

Tens of thousands of people have shared her story.
