CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The mother arrested after her 2-year-old fell into a cheetah exhibit has been sentenced to one year probation and must continue parenting classes and counseling.

Michelle Schwab, 38, of Delaware, said in before her sentencing in court that Wednesday was the "toughest day of my life."

She was charged with child endangering back in April, when her son suffered a broken leg after falling 10 feet into the cheetah exhibit at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Schwab eventually pleaded no contest to reduced charges.

A judge sentenced Schwab to 180 days in jail -- that time was suspended. She was also sentenced to one year probation and must continue parenting classes and counseling.
