Memorial highway dedicated in honor of local fallen soldier

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Several state lawmakers joined the family of a soldier who died while serving in Afghanistan to dedicate a new memorial highway after him Friday.

State Senators Michael Skindell and Tom Patton pushed Senate Bill 352 to rename part of Interstate 71 as the Specialist Angel L. Lopez Memorial Highway.

The 27-year-old died in October 2013. He left behind a wife and three children.

Lopez was a John Marshall High School graduate.
