Kyrie Irving will not play in Game 2 against Hawks

ATLANTA– The Cavaliers announced Friday tonight that Kyrie Irving will not play as the Cavaliers take on the Hawks in Game 2.

The Cavs said after continuing his treatment following Wednesday night’s game against the Hawks, symptoms related to his left knee tendinitis have not diminished and more evaluation was recommended.  Irving played just 27 minutes in Game 1 with the sore knee and right foot.

Irving is listed at questionable for Sunday’s game.

The Cavs beat the Atlanta Hawks 97-89 in the opening game of the Eastern Conference Finals.
