CLEVELAND – As Memorial Day weekend begins, there are plenty of activities happening in downtown Cleveland and a handful of road closures and ‘no parking’ zones as well.

On Sunday, the Indians are at Progressive Field at 1:10 p.m. against the Reds, the Cavs are at home at Quicken Loans Arena at 8:30 p.m. against the Hawks.

On Tuesday, the Indians are at Progressive Field at 7:10 p.m. against the Rangers, the Cavs are at home at Quicken Loans Arena at 8:30 p.m. against the Hawks.

Both of those days, beginning at 4 p.m., the following ‘no parking’ zones will be in place.
– Huron Road – from Ontario Street to Prospect Avenue
– Prospect Avenue – from Ontario Street To East 14th Street
– East 9th Street – from Euclid Avenue to Carnegie Avenue
– East 4th Street – from Prospect Avenue to Huron Road

There is also the 2015 Marc’s Great American Rid Cookoff from Friday until Monday at Jacobs Pavilion.

Plan to arrive early and take the RTA when possible to avoid any traffic complications.

In addition, ODOT  is reminding motorists that if you are traveling and use I-77 south to exit downtown you will notice changes as the East 9th and Ontario Street ramps to I-77 south have been permanently relocated.

Outbound I-77 traffic now uses Orange Avenue which is reduced to two lanes in each direction between Carnegie and East 14th Street. In addition, motorists at the intersection of E 14th/Orange should be alert for new traffic patterns. This will impact I-77 motorists who use Ontario/Orange.
