QUEENS, New York – A Starbucks employee has since been fired after her angry rant was made public on Facebook.
According to PIX 11, the employee began yelling when a customer didn’t hear her ask for her name to be written on her drink.
The customer, Ruby Chen, posted about her experience on Facebook.
Chen said that she asked to speak with a manager after the employee began yelling at her, but the employee said that she was the manager.
“Get out!” she yelled. “You’re not going to be served here.”
The employee wouldn’t allow Chen to pay, and then told her to leave the store.
Chen said she contacted the district manager and was offered a $100 gift card.
A spokesperson for Starbucks released this statement:
The customer’s experience is not reflective of the service our baristas provide.The employee was immediately suspended and no longer works for Starbucks.
Our leadership team has reached out to the customer to make things right.This experience is not what we want our customers to have in our stores.We worked to quickly resolve this.
