ATLANTA – With the Hawks victory over the Washington Wizards on Friday night, the Eastern Conference finals are now set.

The Cavaliers are headed to Atlanta for the first game of the series next Wednesday, May 20.

The earliest the Cavs will play again at home is next Sunday, May 24.

The Cavaliers advanced to the Eastern Conference finals after defeating the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night in Game 6.

The end of this season and start of the postseason has been plagued with injuries, from losing Kevin Love in the Boston series, to LeBron James and Kyrie Irving both battling ankle issues.

All-star Irving said dealing with injuries during his first NBA playoffs “has been the biggest mental challenge of my career thus far.”
