Couple killed, baby found alive in Arkansas tornado rubble

NASHVILLE, Ark.- A 1-year-old girl survived a devastating tornado that hit a small Arkansas town Sunday night.

Michael and Melissa Mooneyhan wre killed when the EF-2 tornado struck their mobile home in Nashville. The couple sheltered their young daughter, who was found safe. She is now in the care of family members.

“It’s very hard to accept it. You have two classmates that’s gone. You know, so it’s very hard,” neighbor Brandon Green told KTBS.

The storm leveled dozens of homes and sent eight people to the hospital for injuries.

“I’ve never seen anything hit Nashville like this,” Howard County Sheriff Bryan McJunkins said.
