Mentor firefighters rescue kitten from drain pipe

MENTOR, Ohio- Firefighters in Mentor rescued a kitten from a drain pipe on Friday.

The fire department was called to Westport Independent Living just after 3 p.m. They found the small cat trapped about 15 feet from the end of a PVC pipe, which extended from the building’s downspout and went under the driveway.

According to the Mentor Fire Department, they flushed the cat out of the drain. Staff at the assisted living facility took the kitten to a veterinarian for evaluation.
