1 dead, 4 hospitalized in late night shooting

CLEVELAND -- A 47-year-old man is dead and four other people, including a pregnant woman,  are in the hospital after a late night shooting on Cleveland's west side.

It happened in the 3600 block of Bosworth Road, which is between West 105th Street and West 117th Street, at around 11:15 p.m. Sunday.

The  Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office identified the deceased as Michael D. Matthews, 47.

One of the victims is a 22-year-old pregnant woman who was brought to the hospital in critical condition after being shot in the chest. There are two men, ages 41 and 24, also in critical condition. A 53-year-old woman was shot in the arm and is in stable condition.

One 911 caller reported hearing at least 12 shots and said people were screaming outside her apartment building.

Police say there was a fight involving several people about 20 to 30 minutes before the shooting.

There have been no arrests, and police are still searching for the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Cleveland police.
