YELLOWSTONE – Several tourists were in for a surprise when a mother bear and her three cubs showed up on a bridge at Yellowstone National Park while they were sightseeing.

The mother and her cubs can be seen running toward tourists as they try to get away quickly.

No one was injured, tourists or bears, but the expert told ABC News that it shows how careful tourists must be in a big park like Yellowstone.

“A mama bear with cubs is not something you want to get near to at all,” Jack Hanna, director emeritus of the Columbus Zoo, told ABC News.

Experts also say that the best defense against a bear is to keep as much distance as possible.
