STARK COUNTY, Ohio – What started out as really, really bad Mother’s Day for a mother duck turned into a great one, all thanks to Stark County Sheriff’s officers.

Deputies took the call earlier today that some ducklings were stuck in a storm drain and needed their help. They responded to the scene, and under the watchful eyes of Mamma Duck, Deputy Greene began to rescue the little quackers.

We are happy to report that all is well with mom and duckies. Showing no ill effects from their ordeal, the little family walked off. We are told they were quacking as they did so, and deputies took that to mean “Thanks” in duck talk.

Well done Deputies! And Happy Mother’s Day to all moms out there!
