BEREA – The Cleveland Browns wrapped up day two of rookie camp on Saturday and head coach Mike Pettine spoke with media about several aspects of preparing for next season.

Rookie WR Vince Mayle has a broken thumb, but it isn’t an issue Pettine wants to worry about too early on.

“We’re going to address it after this camp. It should not be an issue in the fall. We wanted him to come out, just see how it was, test it,” Pettine said. “Found out real quick yesterday that there’s still some lingering pain there. So, we’re going to go ahead and get it corrected.”

Pettine also added that the addition of Danny Shelton will be a great addition for the defensive line, seeing as the team is working with the same system for the second year in a row. The time during the offseason to go over tape is also helpful, Pettine added.

Defensive back Ibraheim Campbell was another Browns draft pick and Pettine said he liked what he saw during the draft process.

“Production, experience, very intelligent. Then, we did get an opportunity to go out and work him out. He was very impressive there, as well,” Pettine said.
