Cavaliers fall to Bulls at the buzzer in Game 3, 99-96

CHICAGO – The Cavaliers fell to the Bulls, 99-96, in Game 3 in Chicago on Friday night; the Bulls now lead the series 2-1. The winning 3-pointer came right at the buzzer.

The Cavs welcomed the return of J.R. Smith, who was suspended for the first two games of this Eastern Conference Semifinal series. The Cavs were still without Kevin Love who was lost to a season-ending shoulder injury in the series with Boston.

The first half was a tight battle, ending with a 49-47 score before halftime. The Cavs did hold the lead for a good portion of the half though, and LeBron James ended the half with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists.

The game remained close, with the lead going back and forth throughout the entire second half. Most of the  game during the second half was within a few points, as the game continued to get more physical.

The Cavs and Bulls play again on Sunday in Game 4 of the series; tip-off is at 3:30 p.m.
