SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio- Two men were arrested after one of them stole from a Walgreens in South Euclid.

Officers were called to the pharmacy on Mayfield Road Tuesday afternoon for a man stuffing hygiene products in his pants. Police said the store manager followed the suspect, who climbed over fences and ran through yards.

The suspect removed his pants, which were full of the stolen merchandise, as officers continued to chase him. The man jumped into a van and would have gotten away, if not for a Good Samaritan, who gave police a ride. They tailed the van and arrested both men on South Green Road.

According to South Euclid police, the theft suspect, age 49, has 110 prior criminal convictions. The 53-year-old driver of the van was charged with multiple traffic violations, as well as being in possession of a crack cocaine pipe.
