WILLOWICK, OH – Two people were arrested for stealing from a Willowick Dollar General Store yesterday…and because of what they stole, police had a good idea of how to spot them.

An employee of the store called police around noon yesterday to report that a man and a woman had just stolen a can of Fix-A-Flat. The couple then left the store and walked over to a nearby gas station.

It didn’t take police long to spot 24-year-old Kayleigh A. Jennings of Berea and 26-year-old Brandon M. Maxwell of Cleveland: they were in the parking lot trying to fix a flat tire on their car. Jennings was placed under arrest for theft and Maxwell was placed under arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of heroin, possession of drug abuse instruments and complicity to theft.

No word on whether or not they ever actually finished fixing the tire.
