Two killed in separate Cleveland incidents overnight

CLEVELAND –  Cleveland homicide detectives are investigating the shooting deaths of two people in unrelated incidents last night.

The first shooting happened at about 12:30 a.m. in the 2900 block of Archwood Avenue for reports of a man being shot. Upon arriving, they found the victim, who was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he died of the gunshot wounds.

A few hours later, just before 4 a.m., a female was reported shot in the 14900 block of Edgewood Road. She was also taken by EMS to MetroHealth Medical Center, where she later died.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiners Office is working to identify both of the victims.
