CLEVELAND, 0hio -- Over 50 years ago, The Beatles performed for the first time in Cleveland -- at Cleveland Public Hall.
Saturday, the two living Beatles -- along with family members and widows of all the Beatles who have passed away -- were back in the very same auditorium.
Paul McCartney presented inductee Ringo Starr with the Award for Musical Excellence.
For interviews with Ringo Starr that took place before the induction ceremony, watch the video players at the bottom of this page.
Starr said he was asked this weekend why he hasn't been inducted yet -- and laughed that it wasn't up to him. He said he loves that he now has been and gave Cleveland a plug.
"I love that I got lucky that it's actually in Cleveland," said Starr.
Starr first performed "Boys" with Green Day, and then sang alongside Joe Walsh. Ringo even hugged a few fans while he killed time in between sets.
Then was the most anticipated moment from the night: a reunion performance with Starr and McCartney. First, they sang "A Little Help From My Friends," and were joined by all the musicians present at the ceremony. Then the two Beatles sang "I Wanna Be Your Man."
HBO will be airing the induction ceremony on Saturday, May 30 at 8 pm ET.
The late John Lennon's wife, Yoko Ono, and the late George Harrison's wife, Olivia, were also in attendance at the induction ceremony.
