Several Tuscarawas County high school students suspended for bringing airsoft guns to school

Claymont High School in Tuscarawas County

UHRICHSVILLE, Ohio-  Nine students from Claymont High School in Tuscarawas County have been suspended after they brought airsoft guns to school and fired them at fellow students.

The incident happened Monday shortly after school was dismissed for the day.

Superintendent John Rocchi told FOX 8 News all of the students involved, both the suspects and the victims, are involved in one of the schools extra-curricular teams.

The guns shot out soft pellets and no injuries were reported.

Rocchi said the guns have been given to the parents of the students involved.  The length of the suspension is not being disclosed.
