Three people shot while riding in car in Cleveland

CLEVELAND – Cleveland police are investigating the shooting of three people on Cleveland’s east side shortly after midnight.

Two 19-year-old men and a 20-year-old woman were driving in their car in the area of East 116th Street and Benham Avenue when they heard gunshots. The bullets entered the car and struck all three of them. One of the men and the woman were treated and released from MetroHealth Medical Center. The second man was taken to Hillcrest Hospital where he remains today.

There have been no arrests and police are asking that anyone with information on this shooting to contact the Fourth District detective bureau at (216) 623-5418.

There were two other shootings in Cleveland last night and early this morning.
