WARR ACRES, Okla. — The owner of a local restaurant in Warr Acres, Oklahoma, P.B. Jams, noticed someone had been going through their dumpster for food in the recent weeks, according to KFOR.

The owner said it broke it heart that someone felt they had to dig through her trash for a meal. That's when she decided to help out that stranger.

The owner, Ashley Jiron, posted a note on her door inviting the person in for a free meal.

“I think we’ve all been in that position where we needed someone’s help and we just needed someone to extend that hand and if I can be that one person to extend that hand to another human being then I will definitely do it,” Ashley told KFOR.

Ashley says she will leave the sign up until the person comes in.
