HAHNVILLE, LOUISIANA – Back in October 2014, two teachers were accused of having sex with a then-16-year-old boy at the same time.

Shelley Dufresne, 32, and Rachel Respess, 24, both faced felony charges, but recently Dufresne took a plea deal to avoid any jail time, according to WGNO.

Dufresne pleaded guilty to one felony count of obscenity and admitted to having sex with a 16-year-old student. She originally was charged with carnal knowledge of a juvenile, a charge that could carry a sentence up to 10 years and registration as a sex offender.

By taking the deal, she got three years of probation, a $1000 dollar fine, and she cannot contact the victim or his family. She is also giving up her teaching license and entering a mental health facility for 90 days.

If she does not complete all aspects of her probation, she could face jail time.
