WESTLAKE, Ohio- The residents at The Belvedere of Westlake take their partying seriously.
The assisted living facility posted a parody of the Beastie Boys’ hit “Fight for Your Right to Party” on March 30 and it already has nearly 2 million views.
The 90-something partiers sing, play the guitar and pass bottles of Jack Daniels. Don’t worry, program coordinator Stephanie Gumina said the booze was replaced with apple juice.
“I tease them that I know they are up to no good when the staff is not around. When they first heard the song, they were like, ‘Really?’ But I said, ‘just trust me, there’s a method to my madness,’ and so they did,” Gumina said in a news release on Thursday.
