A state trooper has been fired over her handling of a traffic stop involving a Lorain police officer.

According to the highway patrol, Tammy Soto failed to conduct a pat-down, was insufficient in her drunk driving investigation, and falsified a traffic citation.

The officer was pulled over in September of last year for driving the wrong way on State Route 2 near Amherst.

He was charged with OVI and pleaded no contest.
