CLEVELAND– Cleveland police sources say they seized a real-looking BB gun with the tip removed from juvenile boys at Mercedes Cotner Park on the west side of Cleveland.

We’re told the call came in for three juveniles flashing a gun.

We’ve learned the boys complied with police orders and were taken home to their parents. Possible charges for a facsimile firearm are pending.

Twelve-year-old Tamir Rice was carrying an airsoft pistol, also with the orange tip removed, when he was shot and killed by police at the Cudell Rec Center last November. An officer shot the boy when he said the boy reached into his waistband.
