Police bust meth lab, make several arrests

THOMPSON TWP., Ohio — Four people were arrested after police found an alleged meth lab in Thompson Township Friday.

Police say detectives from the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office and officials from the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office and Kirtland Hills Police Department executed a search warrant in the 7100 block of Sidley Road on April 3.

Detectives found a meth lab there, along with anhydrous tanks.

They arrested Leslie A. Direnzo, 44, and John R. Staley, 44, for the manufacturing of meth. Jerimiah S. Cathcart, 36, and Jenna L. Stevens, 24, were arrested for possession of meth.

All four were arraigned in Chardon Municipal Court on April 6.
