YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Mahoning County Common Pleas Court officials confirm to Fox 8 that the trial of a man suspected of rape has been delayed, and the defendant taken into custody after the alleged child victim died in an early morning house fire on the city’s south side.

Officials say bond was revoked for 46-year-old Robert Seman who was arrested this morning due to “possible new charges.”

No additional charges have been filed yet.

Mahoning County Prosecutor Paul Gains said the girl's grandparents were also killed in the fire, which broke out at about 3 a.m.

WKBN reports neighbors said they heard an explosion and called 911.

Firefighters remain on the scene, and have not yet said how they believe the fire started.  They believe it started in the basement.

Gains also said that Seman allegedly tried to bribe a potential witness in the rape case, one of the reasons his bond was revoked.
