FAIRLAWN, Ohio – Baker Blvd, the  cupcake store that shot to fame last summer after LeBron James sent their cupcakes to his neighbors to apologize for all the media attention over his homecoming, is closing up shop.

Store owner LaKisha Williams has confirmed that her shop is closing and relocating to Charlotte, North Carolina. Williams says they simply cannot keep with the customer traffic in the store, thanks in large part to LeBron and their partnership with his foundation.  There will be a grand finale tomorrow, Saturday March 28 at the store in Fairlawn.  After that, all of their products, including the Just A Kid from Akron Cherry Cola and the Homecourt Chocolate Chunk cupcakes will be available on-line for world-wide delivery.

In addition to sending his neighbors the cupcakes, LeBron also sent some to Prince William and his wife The Duchess of Cambridge, when they attended a Cavaliers/Nets game in New York City last December.
