LOS ANGELES – AMC announced the title of The Walking Dead companion series on Friday, according to Variety.
The new series, titled Fear the Walking Dead, was announced on Twitter from executive producer Robert Kirkman.
“AMC has created some of the most compelling programming on television in recent years, and this new show will perfectly complement the popular films and exclusive original series showcased on the network,” said AMC and Sundance Channel Global president Bruce Tuchman.
Two seasons are already set. The first will premiere this summer and the second is projected to be in 2016.
