AKRON, Ohio- The jury recommended a sentence for the man convicted of killing his girlfriend and his 5-year-old son.

Last month, a Summit County jury found Daniel Tighe guilty of aggravated murder, murder, tampering with evidence, domestic violence and gross abuse of a corpse.

On Friday, that same jury recommended Tighe spend life in prison without parole for the murder of his son. They could have recommended the death penalty.

The bodies of Wendy Ralston, 31, and Peyton Ralston, 5, were found in a wooded area behind a home on Stone Creek Drive in Tallmadge on Aug. 10, 2013. The mother and child had been missing since July.

Tighe will appear in court on March 25 for sentencing on the other charges. At that time, the judge will also impose the sentence.
