CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Three men have been indicted in connection with the damaging of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument last June.

Surveillance video provided by monument officials shows several people making their way up the historic structure at around 2:40 a.m.  early June 22.

Somehow during the incident, a bronze piece of the monument came off, falling to the ground. About $10,000 in damage was made to the monument.

Ryan Thibault, of Vermont, and Israel Harney and Michael Steele, both of New Jersey, have been indicted on charges of criminal damaging.

The Soldiers and Sailors Monument honors the 9,000 people of Cuyahoga County who served in the Civil War. Their names are on the structure as well.
