CLEVELAND- Those enjoying the St. Patrick’s Day festivities in downtown Cleveland found creative ways to show their Irish spirit on Tuesday.

From a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle to Thing 1 and Thing 2, revelers donned wigs, tutus and boas as they walked from bar to bar.

Many downtown bars opened early for kegs and eggs, while those who had to work peaked at passersby from office windows. There was a steady trickle of party-goers until about noon, when more people started enjoying beer and music on East Fourth Street.

Shortly before the parade began, crowds lined Superior Avenue. Vendors were selling St. Paddy’s merchandise, like horns, hats and even green inflatable dolphins, along the parade route.
