LAKEWOOD, Ohio -- It's become a longtime Lakewood High School tradition: the Cardboard Boat Regatta.

It's an annual event, and this year's was the school's 13th.

Over 200 junior and senior physics students are given five weeks to construct a boat using only cardboard and packing tape.

Then two students frantically paddle their boat across the high school's 25-yard pool, aiming to cross the finish line.
