LUCAS, Ohio -- A man forced a Lucas gas station employee out of her car at gunpoint and into the business before robbing it.

According to the Richland County Sheriff's Office, it happened at about 9:25 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan's One Trip Marathon Station, 244 West Main St.

Police say an employee told police she'd closed the business and walked to her car.

The suspect, who was wearing a red ski mask approached her, opened her driver's door and forced her out at gunpoint. He then ordered her to open the door of the business, saying that if she didn't, he would shoot her.

When they entered the business, he forced the employee to give him the store's cash.

He then fled.

Sheriff's deputies used a K-9 officer to track the suspect to an address on state Route 39. They set up surveillance on the residence, and a vehicle was seen dropping someone off.

Officers then found the suspect inside, along with cash and items linked to the robbery.

The suspect was taken to the Richland County Jail.
