Country star Carrie Underwood gives birth to first child

Carrie Underwood and husband Mike Fisher have welcomed their first child into the world.

Underwood tweeted the news Tuesday morning along with a photo of their new son’s tiny little hand. They named him Isaiah Michael Fisher, and he was born Feb. 27.

Underwood and Fisher announced the pregnancy on Labor Day.

Underwood shot to fame after winning “American Idol.” She has won six Grammys and sold more than 15 million albums worldwide.

Fisher is an NHL player.
