No selfies allowed! Bar bans cell phone use inside building

LINCOLN PARK, Illinois — If you want service inside one Chicago bar, don’t plan on taking your cell phone.

My Fox Philly reports they are banned at Harry’s Velvet Room in Lincoln Park.

The bar has classic French decor everywhere you look, with cocktails ranging from the Prohibition Era up to the 1950s.

But if you want to take a photo and post it on social media, forget it. You’ll have to leave the building.

The owner just wants customers to enjoy their time out socializing with others without being on their cell phones.
