NORTH CANTON, Ohio — At least eight departments were called in to battle an apartment fire in North Canton Wednesday evening.

The fire broke out at an apartment complex on Tinderview Avenue after 7 p.m. Four out of six units were heavily damaged in the fire, but no residents were injured. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries fighting the blaze with one transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Frigid temperatures hampered efforts to contain the fire and eight departments were called in to help supply water due to hydrant issues.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
