CUYAHOGA FALLS - A Cuyahoga Falls father called police saying he found his 3-month-old daughter unresponsive after accidentally dropping her. The father has since been charged with murder.

Matthew Anthony Scott, 29, called police on Feb. 5 reporting an accident had happened and his daughter, Alivia, wasn't breathing.

Alivia was in very bad condition when she arrived at Akron Children's Hospital and died 11 days later when she was taken off life support.

Doctors told police she appeared to have been shaken violently and that Scott's claim of dropping her was not supported by evidence.

Scott had another daughter, Sieara, who died four years ago at just four months of age. She also was found by her father to be unresponsive before a neighbor called 911. Medical examiners found that she died of positional asphyxia due to her position inside her bassinet.

The investigation into Sieara's death has also been reopened and police are currently investigating if Scott played any part in her death.

Scott is currently being held in Summit County Jail on $1 million bond and could face a life sentence if convicted.
