COLUMBUS, Indiana – The freshly fallen snow helped Columbus, Indiana police find a suspect almost effortlessly, according to ABC 6.

Police say 21-year-old Corey Huddleston took some items, including a GPS, from an unlocked car and then ran away.

When police arrived to the scene, they noticed a trail of footprints that led away from the car.

Following those footprints took police to a shed. When they opened the shed, Huddleston and the stolen items were inside.

He was taken to a local jail and is being held pending charges.
